Storeys proudly sponsors local schools
Being a local letting agent in Hackney, at Storeys we are pretty proud of our East London community. It's in this part of the city where you'll find many of the most exciting and innovative projects, creative ideas and up and coming ventures in areas such as food or design. It's also a fantastically family friendly location and home to some great schools - among them Daubeney Primary School and Gayhurst Community School. We are very proud to be sponsoring events at both these schools this summer and we hope that, if you're local to the area, you'll go along and support them too.
Daubeney Primary School Summer Fair - Saturday 29th June 11am - 2pm
Daubeney is a local Hackney school that is federated with Sebright Primary School and Lauriston Primary School. It has created a vibrant and exciting learning environment in which pupils from the surrounding area can thrive. The KS1 and KS2 Curriculum is designed to help children to develop a spirit of curiosity and to nurture the skills and confidence necessary to fully achieve in an ever changing world. The Daubeney Children's Centre also has a nursery and offers free drop in play and stay sessions, parenting programmes, family learning and health promotions.
The Daubeney Primary School Summer Fair takes place on Saturday 29th June at the school and will be a great opportunity to enjoy all the treats and activities that the pupils have planned for the day.
Gayhurst Community School summer fair, Saturday 6th of July 12-3pm
Gayhurst is a school that is all about community. It is part of the LEAP federation of three Hackney primary schools, working in close partnership with both Kingsmead and Mandeville schools. The knowledge and skills based curriculum at Gayhurst has been developed in house and is designed to foster a love of life long learning, and to give every child the opportunity to succeed to the best of their ability. Topics on the curriculum often use the local area as a source of inspiration or reference - for example, a recent project, My Hackney, saw children across the school visiting the local area and sharing their favourite places.
The Gayhurst Community School summer fair is taking place on Saturday 6th July in the grounds of the school. It is raising funds for activities that the children at the school need, such as swimming lessons, gymnastics, school trips and art classes. From fair games and a bouncy castle, to a BBQ, face painting and the school's very own band The Gayhursts, it promises to be a great, community event.
